Tramadol hydrochloride is a centrally acting opioid analgesic. After oral administration it is subjected to first pass metabolism with the M1 metabolite having higher affinity to mu opioid receptor than the parent drug and may be the reason for drug abuse liability. Hence this study aims to make preformulation studies, formulate, and evaluate Tramadol HCI into transdermal films
