The presenting symptoms of corneal ulcers vary from patient to patient depending on the severity of the ulcer early symptoms include eye discomfort foreign body sensation swollen eye lid and watering of the eyes . More serious symptoms are redness (especially circum - corneal injection) severe pain photolphobia eye discharge and blurring of vision
