Etodolac (Lodine®) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). S-(+)-Etodolac has been widely applied in the treatment of inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout and in osteoarthritis and has been shown to be efficacious and well tolerated. Although traditionally employed in the treatment of arthritis, NSAIDS have provided an effective alternative approach to analgesics in the management of mild to moderate pain in several other painful conditions such as low back pain
