This work was carried out to frequency of Clostridum infection in foal diarrhea and also study the diagnosis and typing of C. perfringens by both traditional methods and by multiplex PCR and the evaluation of a - toxin of C. perfringens type A by ELISA . By collection of fecal samples from both diarrheic and apparently healthy foals , Clostridium spp. isolated with incidences of 30 % and 7 %, respectively
