Hypothyroidism is a prevalent disease mostly affecting middle aged women. Recently, the American Diabetes Association ADA has announced the use of glycated hemoglobin more than 6.5% for the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. On the other hand, recent reports have stated a spuriously high level of glycated hemoglobin in non diabetic hypothyroid patients
