Study of the flavonoid constituents of the aquous ethanol extract of the plant through chromatographic separation on polyamide column and purification of the isolated compounds on sephadex LH 20 resulted in isolation of 10 compounds (8 flavonoid glycosides and 2 aglycons) . Compound G1 : 6 - C - xylosyl - 8 - C - glucosylapigenin (Vicenin - 1) Compound G2 : Apigenin 8 - C - Ý glucopyranoside (Vitexin) , Compound G3 : Apigenin 6 - C - Ý - glucopyranoside (Isovitexin)
