Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutics Summary: Thecurrent work has aimed to improve HA therapy in knee OA by developing a novel combined controlled transdermal membrane therapy containing both HA and KT . In this way , easy , painless and continuous HA - KT delivery through the skin into the blood stream could be ensured thus produce stable plasma concentration over a long period and avoiding invasive frequent HA intra - articular injections and KT gastrointestinal complaints associated with all NSAIDs such as bleeding , perforation and peptic ulceration
