Throughout history, a situation in which two or more distinct cultures that continuously interact in a common geographical region has been widely observed. The main observation that motivated this study is the occurrence of parallel co-adaptive changes within all cultures included in that shared region. These co-adaptive changes were observed to be either cooperative or antagonistic in nature
