Spleen formerly known as the organ of mystery plays an important role in the pathogenesis and destruction of platelets in ITP . Most of the ITP patients can be controlled by medical treatment . If medical treatment fails. splenectomy is considered the second line of treatment . Since 1991, Laparoscopic splencetomy (LS) has gained acceptance in the treatment of hematologic disorders, including idiopathc/immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)
