Phase equilibrium calculations are pivotal in designing chemical plants and equipment . Stochastic methods have high chances of locating the global optimum within reasonable computational costs . This work introduces the Charged System Search CSS to the chemical Engineering literature . Phase equilibrium calculations are considered a challenging testament to the efficacy of CSS and two of its variants
