The aim of the present study was to isolate local strains for the preparation of an inactivated pasteurella vaccine for rabbits. The protective value of the vaccine was evaluated in rabbits under field conditions. Eight isolates of pasteurella multocida from 31 clinical samples (25.8%) were isolated. Two out of them (25%) were virulent to mice. These two isolates were incorporated in the prepared vaccine at rate of 1:1
