Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Microbiology Summary: 100 samples of intestinal content from imported one day-old duckling were collected representing 1500 duckling. Every one samples represents 15 ducklings from same source and exposed to the same stress and transportation factors. The imported duckling flocks exhibited 11% positive samples to Salmonella by traditional isolation methods. The serovars of isolated Salmonella were S. Cubana, S. Lomita, S. Norwich and S. Larochelle
