Although inflammatory breast disorders are a frequently encountered clinical complaint, there is paucity in literature that describes their imaging appearance especially on MRI. They range from benign up to malignant forms, namely IBC which carries a grave prognosis. It is very important to distinguish IBC from other types of mastitis because there are major differences in its prognosis, and treatment. Ultrasonography and MRI examination are the main diagnostic tools for discriminating benign from malignant mastitis
