Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Radio-diagnosis Summary: This study included 61 patients (39 females and 22 males) with seventy five painful knee joints. They were subjected to Dynamic Ultrasonography and MRI examinations. The preliminary results have shown the great complementary role of dynamic ultrasonography in the diagnosis of different pathological conditions causing knee pain. Ultrasonography is safe, cheap and efficient tool in the evaluation of the periarticular soft tissues with limited screening role at the internal knee joint cruciate / meniscal derangements as well as some bony lesions involving its cortex and no role at the exclusively intra medullary bony lesions
