Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biophysics
Aim of the work: The implementation of IMRT required extensive effort from the medical physicist because inverse planning systems normally require the user to define dose constraints for all targets and normal tissues (minimum, maximum, mean), numbers and orientations of beams, beam energy, and many dose optimization parameters allowed for the solution. The aim of the present work is to implement the optimal IMRT for the most radiotherapy patient{u2019}s tumor and evaluation of this treatment planning by compare one hundred plans of Intensity- Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) with 3-dimention conformal radiotherapy
