Dosimetric comparison of Intensity-modulated radiotherapy versus 3D conformal radiotherapy / Doaa Mahmoud Ahmed Elzayat ; Supervised Wafaa Khalil , Ehab Marouf Attalla , Yasser Elkirm

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Doaa Mahmoud Ahmed Elzayat , 2014Description: 62 , 9 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cmOther title:
  • مقارنة دوزميترية للعلاج الاشعاعي متغير الشدة والعلاج الاشعاعي ثلاثى الأبعاد [Added title page title]
Subject(s): Online resources: Available additional physical forms:
  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biophysics Summary: Aim of the work: The implementation of IMRT required extensive effort from the medical physicist because inverse planning systems normally require the user to define dose constraints for all targets and normal tissues (minimum, maximum, mean), numbers and orientations of beams, beam energy, and many dose optimization parameters allowed for the solution. The aim of the present work is to implement the optimal IMRT for the most radiotherapy patient{u2019}s tumor and evaluation of this treatment planning by compare one hundred plans of Intensity- Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) with 3-dimention conformal radiotherapy
