Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mathematics and Physics
In this thesis, numerical techniques have been developed for calculating the electromagnetic scattering from a conducting cylinder coated with an inhomogeneous material. Volume Integral Equation Formulations were applied for the inhomogeneous coating; while Surface Integral Equation Formulations were applied for multilayer homogeneous coating. Cascaded optimization techniques have been used to cloak the object from the observation of electromagnetic waves by using alternating dielectric/magnetic and metamaterial layers
