It is an essay prepared to spotlight the uses of ultrasounds as an imaging tool in interventional chronic pain management and demonstrate its advantages and limitations in pain management like avoidance of radiation exposure to medical staffs and patients without the use of radio opaque materials. Ultrasounds can be used for cervical and lumber facet joints and nerve roots injections and for injection of sacroiliac joints and sympathetic ganglia also it can be used for injections in different areas of musculoskeletal system like shoulder, hip, and knee joints also for injections in elbow, wrist and hand joints and injection of peripheral nerves
