Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Botany and Microbiology Summary: In Egypt, about 11 species in 6 families are gynodioecious out of them Ochradenus baccatus Delile (F: Resedaceae), was subjected to this work. Results revealed that this species is dimorphic, gynodioecious (females & inconstant males). It was traced as four transitional forms in inconstant males and three forms in females. The inconstant male populations dominated over the female ones and possessed a variability in seed production which was lower than that of female forms. Pollen grains was 3-colporate, with reticulate exine. Application of RAPD technique revealed the detection of certain sexlinked bands, accordingly sex morphs are genetically linked
