Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy- Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: The thesis consists of four parts. Part I: which includes a brief introduction on amines and on the selected drugs in addition to a literature review of all the reported methods for the analysis of the selected drugs Part II: This part includes stability indicating methods for determination of Acemetacin in presence of its degradation products and impurities followed by identification of the degradation products and impurities. HPLC with UV detection, univariate and multivariate spectrophotometric methods were applied. The univariate methods include direct spectrophotometry for determination of Acemetacin and ratio subtraction method coupled with ratio difference for the determination of the degradation products and impurities. Multivariate PLS regression model was also applied. Part III: This part includes several analytical techniques for the simultaneous determination of Avanafil and Dapoxetine hydrochloride. HPLC with time programmed fluorescence was applied in addition to several spectrophotometric methods such as constant center and absorption factor spectrophotometric methods. Spectrofluorimetric methods coupled with continuous wavelets transforms and Savitzky-Golay derivitization technique were also applied for the simultaneous determination of Avanafil and Dapoxetine hydrochloride
