Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department Of Operative Dentistry Summary: Under the conditions of the present study the following conclusions could be derived : (1) All mouthrinses tested in this study negatively affected the hardness of the tested resin - composite , but the effect was both mouthrinse and material dependent (2) The alcohol - containing mouthrinse was most detrimental to the hardness of both resin - composite restorative materials (3) All mouthrinses tested in this study caused a color shift in the tested resin - composite , but the color shift was both mouthrinse and material dependent (4) The high concentration sodium fluoride - containing mouthrinse is capable of producing perceptible color change of both resin - composite restorative materials
