The work has been carried out to investigate: In this work we focused on the fabrication of new chemically modified carbon paste and screen printed La(III), Zr(IV) and V(V) ions selective electrodes based on ethyl benzoylacetate (EBA), xipamide (XM) and 2,4- dinitrophenyl hydrazine (DNPH) as ionophores. They were described for determination of the ions under investigation using potentiometric calibration. Experimental parameters were optimized according to ICH guidelines. The performance of such sensors in the potentiometric determination of La(III), Zr(IV) and V(V) ions in pure and spiked water samples were compared with those of spectrophotometric methods. The surface characterization of the sensors was described using SEM and EDX. Method validation parameters were carefully studied according to IUPAC recommendation
