Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: Thesis aim is developing an algorithm to show the different supply mix scenarios of solar energy for hybridization with existing conventional power plants in Egypt by using different programs to calculate and show the output of PV and CSP schemes for the available land present as an input to the algorithm with the real time values injected in the grid to compare the solar share and showing best mix providing the load matching, accordingly financial part is studied for the levelized cost of electricity and payback period to support the output of the algorithm for the best supply mix
