Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Computer Engineering
Due to the large use of mobile applications and the vast spread of location-based services, like foursquare, google maps, facebook check-ins, it became necessary to focus on studying these data and its impact on our social norms. Through this thesis, we are tackling three main problems related to the user{u2019}s location: next location novelty, next category classification, and next location identification. These tasks would enhance the services and offer new ones, such as recommending new places
