Our study is targeting at analysis of the use of deltoid splitting approach in proximal humeral fractures in details. In our thesis we discussed anatomy, biomechanics, classification, clinical picture, radiographic diagnosis and a new prospective of treating proximal humeral fractures using deltoid splitting approach and different treatment methods as well as complications during the literature review. The practical part of our study was conducted to assess management and functional outcome of twenty three patients treated with operative open reduction and internal fixation and hemiarthroplasty in treating different patterns of proximal humeral fractures
