The study aimed to find the underlying causes and background characteristics of infective endocarditis in children, also to identify its clinical presentation. It was prospective descriptive study including 50 IE patients, who were studied regarding (demographic data, clinical presentation, risk factors, laboratory findings, medications and imaging). Results shows that CVL was the most common risk factor of IE, also results showed that MRSA was the most common organism isolated from blood culture for IE. Echocardiography shows vegetation almost in all cases of IE in our children
