The present study is one of the few reports which compared minimally invasive DHS and conventional DHS techniques. The advantages of our study include consecutive selection of the patients, which ensure low selection bias. The use of clinical score is another advantage. The presence of control group is another advantage which might have led to low risk of performance bias We acknowledge that the present study has some limitations. The study was a single-center experience and therefore the results cannot be generalized to the general population.The sample size of the present study was relatively small;the small sample size might have hindered the effect size from reaching the margin of statistical significance.The present study was a retrospective study which was conducted on 60 patients of both sexes with stable intertrochanteric fracture of femur (Evans type 1) at the Orthopedic Surgery Department of Cairo University Hospital during the period between January 2019 and March 2020.
