Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Veterinary Medicine - Department Of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases Summary: Therapeutic and diagnostic study of some urinary affections in dogs , as eight groups were the division of cases according to clinical case admitted to clinic , included all of urinary affection cases where dogs could be exposed toAll cases were exposed to clinical examination , Laboratory examination as (urine analysis , complete blood picture , renal function tests , serum albumin and total protein , blood electrolytes as calcium phosphorus chloride and potassium) All cases were exposed to advanced diagnostic techniques other than X - ray , ultrasonography , necropsy and histopathological examination as use of endoscopy (urethroscopy or cystoscopy) or use of intravenous urography or urethrographyAll dead cases were exposed to necropsy and histopathologyThese results with the clinlcal examinations were recorded after statistical analysis in six tables and 34 figuresfter confirmed diagnosis these cases were treated according to the affection present as cases suffered from urinary stones which was not responded to treatment were exposed to extracorporal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) as big stones destroyed into smaller ones passed easily through urinary tract , while cases of Renal Failure were exposed to Haemodialysis but poorly prognosed or older cases were exposed to Peritoneal Dialysis
