Subject and Methods: Thirty patients who established diagnosis of chronic renal failure with age ranged from 35-60years were selected randomly from Hemodialysis Unit of Al-Galaa military Hospital ,Only who agreed to be volunteers participated in the study and were randomized into two groups of equal number, 15 patients for each group, group (A) received low level laser therapy 3times/week for 8 consecutive weeks and anti-histamine and their conventional medical care.group (B) who only received anti-histamine and their conventional medical care Parameters: Itching visual analogue scale (VAS) and 5-D Pruritus scale. Results: The results showed that there was significant decrease in the results of VAS and 5-D pruritus; but the results of group (A) were superior to that of group (B) when comparing the groups results together. Conclusion: It can be concluded that low level laser therapy (LLLT) relief itching pain and can lower progression of renal pruritus in patients undergoing heamodialysis الغرض من الدراسة الحالية دراسة فاعلية الليزر منخفض الشدة على الحكة الكلوية في مرضى الغسيل الكلوي واستغرقت الدراسة ٨ أسابيع متتاليه اشترك فيها ۳۰ مريضا تم إختيارهم من وحدة الغسيل الكلوي بمستشفى الجلاء العسكري بالقاهرة تتراوح أعمارهم مابين35-60عاما من الذكوروتم تقسيمهم عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين ، المجموعة الأولي تكونت من ۱٥مريضا ممن تلقوا العلاج بالليزر منخفض الشدة ومضادات الهيستامين وكذلك الرعاية الطبية والمجموعة الثانية تكونت من ۱٥مريضا ممن تلقوا فقط العلاج بمضادات الهيستامين وكذلك الرعاية الطبية ولقد تم تقييم فاعلية العلاج عن طريق مقياس شدة الألم والنسخة العربية من مقياس الحكة الجلدية ولقد أظهرت النتائج أن هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين كلا المجموعتين وكانت الأفضلية لصالح المجموعة العلاجية الأولى specialized by Amany Ibrahim Marae Farek ; Supervised Prof.Dr. Zakaria Mowafy Emam, Prof.Dr. Sherif Ahmed Swar, Prof.Dr. Marwa Mahdy Abdelhameed Thesis (M.Sc.)-Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Physical Therapy for Surgery Bibliography: p. 81-89.
