N2  - With the proliferation of not only physical health issues, but also mental illnesses, cities 
are bound to enable transformational action to restore their environments to foster 
health while creating a symbiotic relationship with nature. Global South, find itself 
falling behind to follow Northern Policies. This research investigates how Southern 
Cities can foster health resilience through urban greening. A matrix is developed with 
design qualities and design elements to enable green urban environments that stimulate 
individual and collective health restoration. Literature reviews health resilience and 
nature restorative capacities in addition to comparing four international case studies 
investigating linear and acupuncture greening approaches. A pilot case study is carried 
on GCR. The research uses a mixed approach of data collection covering both 
qualitative and quantitative methods including questionnaires, ground surveys and 
aerial mapping. Furthermore, interviews and expert workshop are conducted to 
contextualize the previously developed design matrix.; مع تحول الزخم العالمي نحو الصحة؛ تجلى بوضوح ما تعانيه الهياكل العمرانية الحالية من العديد من نقاط الضعف، ومع انتشار (ليس فقط) قضايا الصحة البدنية، بل والأمراض النفسية،جعل ذلك التوجه أكثر التزاما لتمكين العمل لاستعادة بيئاتها وتعزيز بنيتها من أجل دعم الصحة مع خلق علاقة تفاعلية تحترم المورد الطبيعي. وفي ظل هذه الحاجة الملحة، تجد الكثير من المدن وبالأخص في الجنوب العالمي، نفسها متخلفة عن اتباع سياسات الدول الأكثر تقدما. الأمر الذي شكل مدخل إلى البحث في محاولة لطرح كيفية تمكين هذه النطاقات لتعزيز المرونة الصحية داخل حدودها من خلال تنمية بيئات حضرية خضراء تستعيد الصحة الفردية والجماعية بتنويعاتها المختلفة، وبما يعي الصفات والملامح التصميمية المرتبطة بتصميم شبكات وهياكل المناطق المفتوحة في بيئات الحضر عالية الكثافات
