N2  - This thesis focuses on studying Toleware objects which are housewares such as trays, boxes, coffee pots, cups and mugs which were made of different layers (iron substrate-tinplated-bitumen layer-oil paints-varnish layer, So these objects are deteriorated by many factors because of the interaction between the different layers of toleware. The results were gained from this thesis work thorough scientific examination and noninvasive analyses methods which were applied on a painted iron tray from Manial palace museum. It was made in Birmingham, UK, also the study contains the restoration and conservation stepes of this painted tinplated iron tray and how to fill the iron gap with the suitable paste according to the results of the experimental study; تتناول هذه الرسالة دراسة مقتنيات التول وير كمقتنيات فريدة من نوعها من حيث الشكل والتكوين فهي مقتنيات وظفت كأدوات للمطبخ بشكل خاص أو لديكور المنزل بشكل عام. فتتكون هذه المقتنيات من عدة طبقات(حامل من الحديد- طبقة طلاء من القصدير- طبقة تحضير من البيتومين- طبقة من الوان الزيت- واخيرا طبقة من الورنيش)،وبتعدد طبقات هذه المقتنيات تعددت مظاهر وعوامل التلف لها. تم تطبيق دراسة هذه المقتنيات بدراسة نموذج من متحف قصر المنيل(يتمثل في صورة صينية عشاء) بعمل التحاليل والفحوص وكذلك كل طرق التسجيل والتوثيق الممكنة للوقوف على مظاهر وعوامل التلف وكذلك الطرق المثلى للعلاج والترميم والاستكمال للفجوة الموجودة بحافة الصينية طبقا للنتائج التي تم الوصول لها بالدراسة التجريبية لاختيار افضل المواد المالئة لتلك الفجوات على الحوامل المعدنية
