N2  - هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى رصد تأثير ظاهرة التغيُّر المُناخي على المكتبات العامة على المستويات المحلية والدولية، ورصد الأساليب التي اتبعتها المكتبات العامة المصرية والعالمية لمواجهة الظاهرة، ورصد وعيّ مديري المكتبات العامة المصرية بخطورة هذه الظاهرة وتأثيرها، بالإضافة إلى اعداد خطة عمل للمكتبات العامة المصرية لمواجهة تأثيرات ظاهرة التغيُّر المُناخي. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي بأسلوبه المسحي لتحديد أبعاد الظاهرة وتأثيرها على مجتمع المكتبات العامة داخل مصر وخارجها، وتحليل هذه التأثيرات للوصول إلى خطة عمل لمواجهة المكتبات العامة المصرية لها. وبالإضافة إلى القراءات النظرية، اعتمدت الدراسة على الاستبيان والمقابلات المقننة والزيارات الميدانية لمجتمع الدراسة من المكتبات العامة المصرية كأدوات لجمع البيانات. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها أن جميع المكتبات عينة الدراسة بنسبة 100% لديها وعيّ بخطورة التغيُّر المُناخي، وبالرغم من ذلك ليس لدي أي من تلك المكتبات خطة استراتيجية لمواجهة تلك الأزمة. وأخيرًا جاءت الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات أهمها ضرورة إعداد وتطوير المكتبات العامة ومراكز المعلومات المصرية لخطط استراتيجية خمسية طويلة المدى؛ للتكيُّف مع التحديات البيئية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية المرتبطة بالتغيُّرات المُناخية، وإلحاق العاملون بالمكتبات العامة ومراكز المعلومات المصرية بدورات تدريبية حول كيفية حماية المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات من الكوارث التي قد تنتج عن التغيُّرات المُناخية، وطرق وأساليب المواجهة حيال وقوع تلك الكوارث، وكيفية التعافي منها; This study aimed to monitor the impact of climate change on public libraries at both local and international levels. It also sought to identify the methods employed by Egyptian and global public libraries to confront this phenomenon. Additionally, the study aimed to assess the awareness of Egyptian public library managers regarding the seriousness and impact of climate change. The study further aimed to develop an action plan for Egyptian public libraries to address the effects of climate change. The study adopted a descriptive methodology, utilizing a survey approach to determine the dimensions of the phenomenon and its impact on the public library community within and outside Egypt. The study analyzed these impacts to formulate an action plan for Egyptian public libraries. In addition to theoretical readings, the study relied on questionnaires, structured interviews, and field visits to libraries as tools for data collection. The study reached several key findings, including the fact that all the libraries in the study sample (100%) are aware of the severity of climate change. Despite this awareness, none of these libraries have a strategic plan to address the crisis. The study concludes with several recommendations, the most important of which is the need to develop and enhance Egyptian public libraries and information centers with long-term five-year strategic plans to adapt to environmental, social, and economic challenges associated with climate change. It also recommends providing library staff with training courses on how to protect libraries and information centers from disasters that may result from climate change, as well as methods and techniques for dealing with and recovering from these disasters
