N2  - تتناول هذه الدراسة طبيعة الدور الإقليمي الإثيوبي في القرن الإفريقي، بحيث تُناقش محددات هذا الدور على المستويين المحلي والدولي، والتصور الإثيوبي لمصالحها في المنطقة. كما تتطرق إلى ممارسات الدور الإثيوبي الإقليمي على مدار العقد الماضي. وتسعى الدراسة إلى التقاطع مع انعكاسات الدور الإثيوبي وتأثيراته على مصالح الفاعلين الدوليين في القرن الإفريقي بما في ذلك المصالح المصرية في ضوء الأهمية الاستراتيجية للمنطقة بالنسبة للسياسة المصرية خلال السنوات الماضية. وتدور إشكالية الدراسة حول تحليل وتفسير ما إذا كانت المقومات التي تمتلكها إثيوبيا تؤهلها للقيام بدور إقليمي في القرن الإفريقي، والعوامل المحفزة التي تدفع نحو تعزيز النفوذ الإثيوبي والهيمنة الإقليمية في المنطقة، وارتدادات ذلك على توازنات القوة الإقليمية، وانعكاساته على الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي هناك; This study represents the nature of the Ethiopian regional role in the Horn of Africa, as it discusses the determinants of this role at the local and international levels, and the Ethiopian perception of its interests in the region. It also addresses the practices of the Ethiopian regional role during the last decade. The study seeks to intersect with the repercussions of the Ethiopian role and its effects on the interests of the international actors in the Horn of Africa, including the Egyptian interests, because of the strategic importance of the region to the Egyptian policy during the past years. The study revolves around analysing and interpreting whether the capabilities possessed by Ethiopia qualify it to play a regional role in the Horn of Africa. It seeks also to analyse the motivating factors that push towards strengthening the Ethiopian influence and regional hegemony in the region and the repercussions of this on regional balances of power, and its reflection on regional security and stability there
