N2  - تتضمن هذه الرسالة موضوع الهندسة المعمارية لكنائس لبنان في العصر البيزنطي - مقارنة مع مصر وقد تم تقسيم الرسالة إلى مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة والمقدمة: وتتناول العناصر الأساسية للبحث، والأهداف المرجوة منه، إضافة إلي الصعوبات التي واجهت الباحث، كما تتناول منهجية البحث. التمهيد  تتناول لمحة موجزة عن الحقبة البيزنطية التي تم خلالها تشييد الكنائس والكاتدرائيات من منتصف القرن الرابع الميلادي إلى القرن السابع، الفصل الأول : يتناول الهندسة المعمارية والزخرفية لكنائس لبنان والمنهج المعتمد في دراسة الكنائس اللبنانية في العصر البيزنطي  لجهة البحث التاريخي والمسح الميداني وتحليل المكونات الأثرية والتصاميم وإعادة التركيب . الفصل الثاني : ويتضمن العناصر الزخرفية لكنائس مصر في العصر البيزنطي الفصل الثالث: ويتضمن الدراسة التحليلية والمقارنة  بالنسبة للكنائس البيزنطية اللبنانية ووضعها الحالي . الخاتمة : تتناول أبرز النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة في إبراز الهوية الحقيقية للكنيسة البيزنطية; This thesis deals with the study of the architectural engineering of Byzantine churches in Lebanon- comparison study with Egypt. The thesis is structured into an introduction, a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion.Introduction: The introduction provides a brief overview of the Byzantine period, during which churches and cathedrals were constructed from the mid-4th century to the 7th century AD. Preface: The preface discusses the political, religious, and architectural transformations that occurred between the 4th and 7th centuries AD, with particular attention to Roman influences on the development of Byzantine art and architecture.Chapter One: This chapter explores the architectural and decorative elements of Byzantine churches in Lebanon. It explains the methodology used in studying these churches, including historical research, field surveys, and the analysis and reconstruction of archaeological components and designs.Chapter Two: This chapter investigates the decorative elements of Byzantine churches in Egypt. Chapter Three: This chapter offers an analytical and comparative study of Lebanese and Egyptian Byzantine churches. Conclusion: The conclusion presents the main findings of the study, emphasizing the true identity of Byzantine churches during
