N2  - يعتبر الإرهاب تهديدًا متزايدًا في القرن الحادي والعشرين، خصوصًا بعد أحداث 11 سبتمبر 2001، حيث أدى ذلك إلى تغييرات في الاستراتيجيات الأمريكية. يُفهم الإرهاب الآن كظاهرة معقدة تتطلب تفسيرات جديدة، رغم عدم تغير وجهات النظر الاستراتيجية بشكل جذري. تركز الأهداف الأمريكية على ضمان أمن إسرائيل وتأمين النفط في الشرق الأوسط ومكافحة الإرهاب. منطقة الشرق الأوسط تكتسب أهمية استراتيجية بسبب ثرواتها ومواردها، ما يجعلها محط اهتمام القوى العظمى، خاصة الولايات المتحدة. بعد الحرب الباردة، شهدت التنظيمات الإرهابية تطورًا ملحوظًا، مما استدعى تعزيز قدرات الولايات المتحدة الأمنية والاستخباراتية لمواجهة هذه التهديدات. تباينت استراتيجيات إدارات أوباما، ترامب، وبايدن في مكافحة الإرهاب، لكنها اتفقت على أهمية التصدي له. على الرغم من الاختلافات في الأساليب، ظل التركيز على حماية المصالح الأمريكية في الشرق الأوسط مستمرًا. تُعتبر جهود مكافحة الإرهاب جزءًا من استراتيجية أوسع لضمان الاستقرار في المنطقة; Terrorism is a growing threat in the 21st century, especially after the events of September 11, 2001, which led to changes in American strategies. Terrorism is now understood as a complex phenomenon that requires new interpretations, although strategic views have not changed radically. American goals focus on ensuring the security of Israel, securing oil in the Middle East, and combating terrorism.
The Middle East region is of strategic importance due to its wealth and resources, which makes it a focus of interest for major powers, especially the United States. After the Cold War, terrorist organizations witnessed a remarkable development, which necessitated strengthening the security and intelligence capabilities of the United States to confront these threats. The strategies of the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations in combating terrorism varied, but they agreed on the importance of confronting it. Despite differences in methods, the focus on protecting American interests in the Middle East has continued. Counterterrorism efforts are part of a broader strategy to ensure stability in the region
