N2  - Background: Skin diseases, affecting the skin, hair, and nails, are common 
worldwide and significantly impact quality of life. Aim: This study aimed to 
assess Egyptian dermatologists' awareness of physical therapy's role in 
managing skin conditions. Methods: A cross-sectional analytical study using a 
validated questionnaire was conducted among 161 Egyptian dermatologists 
from Cairo teaching hospitals to assess their knowledge, awareness of physical 
therapy interventions, referral practices, and collaboration. The questionnaire 
underwent face/content validity and test-retest reliability. Data were analyzed 
using descriptive statistics, chi-square, and Spearman’s correlation. Results: 
The results showed that while 87.6% of dermatologists had high general 
knowledge of physical therapy, only 6.2% were aware of specific modalities for 
dermatological conditions. Referral rates were low, with most dermatologists 
referring patients rarely (43.5%) or sometimes (24.8%). The study also 
identified systemic barriers to collaboration, such as lack of awareness and 
limited availability of trained physiotherapists. Conclusion: This study found 
that Egyptian dermatologists had a positive attitude toward physiotherapy in 
dermatology, but lacked detailed knowledge about specific interventions, 
limited referral rates, and poor interprofessional collaboration.; الخلفية: تعد الأمراض الجلدية التي تصيب الجلد والشعر والأظافر من الأمراض الشائعة على مستوى العالم، ولها تأثير كبير على جودة الحياة. الهدف: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم وعي أطباء الجلدية المصريين بدور العلاج الطبيعي في إدارة الأمراض الجلدية .منهجية البحث: أُجريت دراسة تحليلية مقطعية باستخدام استبيان مُعتمد تم توزيعه على 161 طبيب جلدية من مستشفيات القاهرة التعليمية، وذلك لقياس معرفتهم ووعيهم بالتدخلات العلاجية الطبيعية، وممارسات الإحالة، والتعاون المهني. خضع الاستبيان لتقييم الصدق الظاهري وصدق المحتوى، بالإضافة إلى اختبار الثبات بإعادة التطبيق. تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام الإحصاءات الوصفية، واختبار كاي تربيع، ومعامل ارتباط سبيرمان. النتائج: أظهرت النتائج أن 87.6% من أطباء الجلدية لديهم معرفة عامة عالية بالعلاج الطبيعي، ولكن فقط 6.2% كانوا على دراية بالتقنيات المتخصصة في علاج الحالات الجلدية. كما كانت معدلات الإحالة منخفضة، حيث أشار معظم الأطباء إلى أنهم نادرًا ما يحيلون المرضى (43.5%) أو أحيانًا فقط (24.8%). وكشفت الدراسة أيضًا عن وجود عوائق تنظيمية للتعاون، مثل نقص الوعي وقلة توفر أخصائي العلاج الطبيعي المدربين على هذا النوع من الحالات. الاستنتاج: أظهرت الدراسة أن أطباء الجلدية المصريين لديهم موقف إيجابي تجاه العلاج الطبيعي في مجال الأمراض الجلدية، إلا أنهم يفتقرون إلى المعرفة التفصيلية بالتدخلات المتخصصة، مع انخفاض في معدلات الإحالة، وضعف في التعاون المهني بين التخصصات
