<br/><br/> The Nobel prize winner (2007), Doris May Lessing (1919-2013) shows <br/>special attention to the injustice that is inflicted by men upon both women and <br/>nature. Her multicultural upbringing allowed her to gain a special connection with <br/>nature via her intuitive instinct. This thesis aims at exploring these patriarchal <br/>tactics that are put in action to subdue women and nature to exploit them. Hence, it <br/>demonstrates that this code of behaviour creates a dystopian reality as conveyed by <br/>Lessing in the three selected novels. This dissertation also investigates Lessing’s <br/>proposed spiritual solutions to overcome this impasse that also empower her <br/>female protagonists. In the same manner, it detects ecofeminist tendencies in <br/>Lessing’s selected novels that are associated with Gaia hypothesis, which suggests <br/>a new way to look at life on earth. This research focuses on three novels by <br/>Lessing namely, The Golden Notebook (1962), The Four-Gated City (1969) and <br/>The Memoirs of a Survivor (1974) that are to be tackled within the theoretical <br/>frame of ecofeminism and Gaia. The methodology used in this thesis will be based <br/>on ecofeminist and Gaian approaches that perceive earth as a community of beings, <br/>in which all living organisms are equal. The two schools of thought depend on <br/>emotions and spirituality to ensure survival on earth; and thus, they subvert the <br/>patriarchal narrative, which is echoed in Lessing’s selected novels.  This research <br/>will rely on primary sources such as Lessing’s selected novels, interviews, and <br/>related writings. Major books on ecofeminism by D’Euabonne, Gaard, Griffin, <br/>Merchant, Mies, among others, and on Gaia by Lovelock and Margulis will be <br/>under study as well. It will also rely on articles published in databases and <br/>academic journals based on the primary sources.    تعرضدوريس ليسينج من خلال الثلاث روايات المختارة الظلم الذي تتعرض له المرأة والطبيعة من قبل الرجل.يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة الآليات الأبوية التي تسعي إلى السيطرة على النساء والطبيعة لاستغلالهما؛ كما يوضح بحثنا هذا، الواقع المرير نتاج هذه السيطرة الأبوية كما ترسمه ليسينج في الروايات المختارة. وينظر هذا البحث أيضاً إلى حلول ليسينج الروحانية المقترحة بهدف تخطي هذه الإشكالية لأجل تمكين بطلات رواياتها والنجاة على كوكب الأرض، وعلى هذا المنوال يتتبع البحث النزعة النسوية الإيكولوجية وطيدة العلاقة بفرضية جايا التي تحث على رؤية الكون من منظور جديد. يختص هذا البحث بدراسة ثلاث روايات مختارة لليسينج: The Golden Notebook (1962)،The Four-Gated City (1969) and TheMemoirs of a Survivor (1974) من منظور نسوي إيكولوجي الذي يتفق مع فرضية جايا في النظر إلي كوكب الأرض كمجتمع تسوده المساواة بين جميع كائناته الحية.
