Total 360-day-old male chicks Arbor Acres from 1-35 days of age, were divided into six treatment groups (6 groups x 6 replicates x 10 chicks each). Six diets were formulated to meet Arbor Acres chicks’ nutritional requirements except for Zn, which was given at three levels: 100% (of the strain guide required level), 50%, and 25% of conventional or nano zinc oxide (ZnONPs).The findings indicated that chicks exhibited superior productive performance when fed diets containing ZnONPs. There were no statistically significant differences (P>0.05) observed within the various levels of ZnONPs. Furthermore, the ideal characteristics of the tibia bone (Weight, length, width, and breaking strength) recorded for chicks fed ZnONPs. Moreover, the chicks that were fed ZnONPS had the highest levels of tibia bone ash, calcium, phosphorus, and zinc content. Bone mineral density and concentration were evaluated in chicks fed ZnONPs using X-ray and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) techniques, which demonstrated the significant positive effect of nanoparticles in increasing bone mineral density and concentration compared to the conventional form. No significant differences (P>0.05) were observed in the percentages of carcass features among all treatments. Also, there were no significant differences (P>0.05) observed among the various treatment groups in terms of thyroid hormones level, kidney function as indicated by creatinine level, and liver function as indicated by ALT and AST levels. Adding ZnONPs to the diets significantly boosted (P≤0.05) the chicks' immune response to avian influenza (H5) and Newcastle disease (ND) compared to the control group. In addition to chicks fed diets containing ZnONPs, the growth of beneficial bacteria was enhanced while restricting the growth of harmful types in the duodenum and cecum compared to the chicks fed the conventional zinc. From the current results, the inclusion of ZnONPs provided the best productive performance and bone quality while having no adverse impacts on thyroid hormones, liver, or kidney functions. As a result, the appropriate level of nano zinc was 25% of the recommended level (27.5 mg/kg).;
