Aim: Aim of our study is to assess the effect of serum magnesium level , magnesium intake and socioeconomic level and their use as an indices for the Obstructive Sleep Apnea patients.. Patients and methods: Eighty-three patients were recruited from the outpatient clinic of chest department or form inpatient of the same department of Kasr Al Aini faculty of medicine – Cairo university who were divided into case and control group according to the following inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: - Serum magnisum level in the cases are low normal value or deficient. - Socio – economic status in the cases are low or middle socioeconomic status. - Magnesium intake level is low than normal in cases and control.
