N2  - This thesis comprises three chapters in addition to summaries in both English and 
Arabic languages;  
The first chapter presents a general introduction which consists of a brief literature 
survey of breast cancer, colon cancer and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1. 
The second chapter is a Review Article with the title “A deep insight into the indole 
nucleus: pharmacological action, structure-activity relationship, and eco-friendly synthetic 
approaches” 
The third chapter is a Research article with the title “Novel 2,6-Bis(indolyl/5-
bromoindolyl) dihydropyridine/pyridine hybrids as potential anti-tumor agents: Design, 
one-pot Green synthesis, molecular docking, and cytotoxicity evaluation”; تتألف هذه الأطروحة من ثلاثة فصول بالإضافة إلى ملخصات باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية.
يقدم الفصل الأول مقدمة عامة تتضمن مراجعة موجزة للأدبيات المتعلقة بسرطان الثدي وسرطان القولون ومستقبل عامل نمو بطانة الأوعية الدموية-1.
أما الفصل الثاني فهو مقال استعراضي بعنوان "نظرة معمقة على نواة الإندول: التأثير الدوائي، وعلاقة التركيب بالنشاط، والأساليب التركيبية الصديقة للبيئة".
وأما الفصل الثالث فهو مقال بحثي بعنوان "مركبات هجينة جديدة من 2،6-ثنائي (إندوليل/5-بروموإندوليل) ثنائي هيدروبيريدين/بيريدين كعوامل محتملة مضادة للأورام: التصميم، والتخليق الأخضر في وعاء واحد، والالتحام الجزيئي، وتقييم السمية الخلوية"
