Aim: The present study aimed to evaluate the retreatment efficacy of D-RaCe versus XP Endo Rise retreatment rotary NiTi Systems in root filling material removal in single-rooted mandibular premolars. Methodology: Twenty-eight single-rooted premolars were disinfected with sodium hypochlorite and decoronated to a length of 16 mm for each tooth. After all roots received root canal therapy, they were stored at 37 °C and 100% humidity for a week to enable the sealer to set properly, then teeth were assigned randomly into two groups (n=14) according to the retreatment system used, group (1): D-Race (DR) control group, group (2): XP Endo Rise Retreatment (XPR). Bucco-lingual grooves were made to facilitate the longitudinal splitting of the roots. then, using Stereomicroscope images, the amount of the remaining gutta-percha and sealer for each root-canal third was analyzed and measured using Image J software, and the time needed to remove the root filling material was noted. vii Results: Regarding the amount of remaining filling material, the inter- group comparison showed that both groups resulted in incomplete root filling removal, with no significant difference between them. For the intra-group comparison, there was no significant difference between the three root thirds in the XPR group (p=0.109). Whereas D-RaCe showed a significantly lower percentage of remaining filling material in the apical third (p < 0.001). XPR significantly shortened the preparation time (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Both D-RaCe and XP Endo Rise retreatment systems resulted in incomplete removal of root canal filling material, with no significant difference between the two groups. While XP Endo Rise significantly shortened the retreatment time compared to the D-RaCe system. غرض البحث: الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم كفاءة نظامي ( دي راس) و (اكس بي اندو رايز ) لإعادة المعالجة في إزالة مواد الحشو من القنوات الجذرية في الضواحك السفلية أحادية الجذر.في الاسنان ذات الجذور المفردة. طريقة البحث: تم استخدام ثمانية وعشرين ضاحكاً سفلياً أحادي الجذر، وتم تعقيمها باستخدام هيبوكلوريت الصوديوم وقطع التيجان للوصول إلى طول موحد قدره 16 مم لكل سن. بعد إجراء علاج الجذور لجميع العينات، تم حفظها لمدة أسبوع للسماح بتصلب المادة اللاصقه بشكل مناسب، ثم تم تقسيم الأسنان عشوائيًا إلى مجموعتين حسب نظام إعادة المعالجة المستخدم المجموعة الأولى: دي راس- المجموعة الضابطة المجموعة الثانية: اكس بي اندو رايز تم إجراء شقوق من الاتجاه الدهليزي نحو الاتجاه اللساني لتسهيل شطر الجذور طوليًا، ثم جرى استخدام صور ملتقطة بواسطة المجهر التشريحي الضوئي لتحليل وقياس كمية بقايا الجوتا بيركا والمادة اللاصقة في كل ثلث من القناة الجذرية باستخدام برنامج إيماج-ج، كما تم تسجيل الوقت المستغرق لإزالة مواد الحشو الجذري. النتائج: أظهرتأظهرت النتائج، فيما يخص كمية بقايا مواد الحشو الجذري، عدم وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين. أما بالنسبة للوقت اللازم للتحضير، فقد أظهرت المجموعة الأولى (دي راس) استغراقًا وقتًا أطول بشكل ملحوظ مقارنة بالمجموعة الثانية ( اكس بي اندو رايز) . النتائج المستنتجة: أظهر كل من نظامي دي-راس و اكس-بي اندو رايز عدم القدرة على الإزالة الكاملة لمواد الحشو من القنوات الجذرية، مع عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين النظامين. ومع ذلك، فقد تميز نظام (اكس بي اندو رايز ) بتقليل الوقت اللازم لإعادة المعالجة بشكل ملحوظ مقارنة بنظام (دي راس). specialized by Sara Mohsen Ayad Elias ; Supervisors Prof. Dr. Manar Fouda, Dr. Shaimaa Bakry.
