This study offers an analysis of the simultaneous interpretation into Arabic of Mariano Rajoy's political speeches on the Catalan Referendum at 2017. We explore how interpreters proceed with political speeches, we list the discursive elements used in this type of speeches and we analyze the simultaneous interpretation of these elements from the perspective of Austin’s theory of speech acts (1962). It is also worth mentioning that the analysis will include both modalities of simultaneous interpretation: direct and indirect. These speeches were chosen because they reflect the Catalan conflict in the period of 2017 which is a complex and delicate issue that affects politics, economy, culture of Spanish society and that up to this moment has not ended. We explore through analysis how the discursive elements in these speeches were interpreted, then we address the difficulties faced by the interpreter. تُحلل هذه الدراسة الترجمة الفورية إلى العربية لخطابات ماريانو راخوي السياسية خلال استفتاء كتالونيا عام ٢٠١٧. الهدف الرئيسي هو استكشاف كيفية تعامل المترجمين الفوريين مع هذا النوع من الخطابات، وتحديد الاستراتيجيات الخطابية المستخدمة، والتحقق من كيفية تفسيرها في النسخة العربية، وهل تعكس الفعل الإلقاءي أم لا من واقع نظرية أفعال الكلام لجون أوستن (١٩٦٢). تتكون مجموعة الدراسة من مجموعة مختارة من خطابات ماريانو راخوي التي أُلقيت خلال الصراع الكتالوني، والتي تم تحليلها في نسخها المترجمة إلى العربية. كما تُقارن الدراسة بين نمطي الترجمة الفورية - المباشرة وغير المباشرة - لتحديد اختلافاتهما في نقل الرسالة السياسية. تكشف النتائج أن الاستراتيجيات الخطابية تؤثر بشكل كبير على جودة الترجمة، وأن الحفاظ على الفعل الإلقاءي أمر بالغ الأهمية لضمان نقل الرسالة بأمانة وفعالية. وبشكل عام، يقدم هذا البحث منظورًا تحليليًا وتطبيقيًا للعلاقة بين الخطاب السياسي والبراغماتية وممارسة الترجمة الفورية. specialized by Rahma Zakaria Barakat ; Supervisors Drª.
