<br/><br/> The chemotherapy indused stomatitis is one of the most common and annoying side effects that can occur to cancer patients . Stomatitis may result in pain and discomfort , difficulty in eating which may lead to diminished nutritional status . It ia a serious side effect, which can result in secondary infection ( bacterial, viral or fungal ) ; it can lead to treatment dose reduction and sometimes even patient withdrawal from treatment
