<br/><br/> Gingival enlargement is usually caused by local condition such as poor oral hygiene , food impaction , or mouth breathing , systemic conditions such as hormonal changes , drug therapy , or tumor infiltration may complicate the process . There are many modalities for the treatment of gingival enlargement . The most widely performed is the conventional gingivectomy by using the scalpel . Other modalities include laser assisted gingivectomy
