The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of genetic polymorphisms of SLCO1B1 and MDR1 on the pharmacodynamics of atorvastatin which is the degree of improvement in the lipid profile of patients receiving atorvastatin . We studied 50 patients receiving atorvastatin in a dose of 40 mg once per day for a period of 4 weeks . We used the specific primers for restriction fragment length polymorphism
