The results obtained in vitro revealed that among eighty isolates of nitrogen fixing bacteria isolated from the rhizosphere and roots of maize and faba bean plants, the strain No.12 of Azospirllum lipoferum was active against the ten tested pathogenic fungi that recorded largest inhibition zone
