The objective of this research was to study the influence of member width,longitudinal and transverse spacing of stirrups, volumetric ratio of stirrups, and shear-span-to depth ratio on the shear behavior of reinforced concrete wide beams, and to check the adequacy of current codes procedures for designing reinforcement concrete wide beams
