<br/><br/> The association between fluoroquinolones resistance genes and virulence genes in Escherichia coli was investigated. A total of 140 isolates, identified as E.coli were collected from both Eldemerdash and Alkasr Elainy hospitals Cairo, Egypt. Antimicrobial susceptibility pattern was evaluated using the disc diffusion method. The resistance pattern of the isolates towards fluoroquinolones (ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin) was investigated
