The aim of this study is to examine the effect of sukuk issuance on the liquidity of stock markers, and to investigate whether this effect is moderated by the tenor of the sukuk and its nature as sovereign versus corporate sukuk. A fixed effects panel data regression is utilized to achieve this aim. The countries considered in the panel are Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia
