In the present study, the immunizing and protective efficacy of local strains (S. Typhimurium, S. Infantis, S. Enteritidis and S. Meleagridis) and imported ones (S. Typhimurium and S. Enteritidis) in four locally prepared polyvalent and two imported bivalent inactivated vaccines had been studied. Atotal of 350 six weeks old SPF white lohman layer chickens and 350 two weeks old broiler Ross chickens in different two experiments were divided into 7 groups 50 chicks per each. Group (A) was vaccinated with the alcohol inactivated mineral oil adjuvantedvaccine.Group (B) was vaccinated with the alcohol inactivated gel adjuvanted vaccine. Group (C) was vaccinated with the formalin inactivated mineral oil adjuvantedvaccine.Group (D) was vaccinated with formalin inactivated gel adjuvanted vaccine. Group (E) was vaccinated with the formalin inactivated mineral oil adjuvanted imported vaccine. Group (F) was vaccinated with formalin inactivated gel adjuvanted imported vaccine. Group (G) used as control non vaccinated chicks
