Cadmium (18.4mg / kg, p.o) was given from day 7 to 16 of gestation. Curcumin (50mg / kg, p.o), Se (18æg / Kg, p.o) or their combination were administered all over the period of gestation with or without Cd insult. The results showed decrease in maternal body weight gain, increase in the rate of abortion, resorption and growth retardation of fetuses and malformations in their skeleton in group received Cd. Besides, there were significant decrease in red blood cells, and hemoglobin concentration while increase in the white blood cells count. Serum levels of AST, ALT, LDH, urea and creatinine showed significant elevation in mothers and their fetuses compared to the normal control group UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
